Kindergarten  to register for kindergarten your child must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2013.

Transitional K to register for Transitional Kindergarten your child must be 5 years old between October 2 and December 2, 2013.  TransitionalKindergarten is a two (2) year program.

 Birth certification, shot records, and proof of residency are required at time of registration.

AB 1443 ORAL HEALTHASSESSMENTS

New legislation dealing with oral health assessments for students became effective January 1, 2007.  AB 1443 requires oral health assessments for all children entering public school for the first time (kindergarten or first grade).  Parents must submit proof of an oral health assessment performed by a licensed dentist or other licensed or registered dental health professional. 

HEALTH SCREENING FOR SCHOOL ENTRY

California’s Health and Safety Code 124085 requires a comprehensive health screening for Grades K-1 to be completed and presented to the school nurse within 18 months prior to entry into first grade or within 90 days thereafter.

Children who have not started their hepatitis B shots before the first day of 7th grade will be excluded from school.  Please make sure your child has completed the three shot series before school starts.
