Mr. Jeff Shimmon

Hello! My name is Jeff Shimmon, and I am excited to be part of the Stratford Elementary School family as a Special Education Resource Specialist. I look forward to getting to know my students and partnering with families to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

I was raised in the Lemoore area and attended local schools from pre-kindergarten through junior college. Growing up in this close-knit community gave me a deep appreciation for the values of hard work, kindness, and service. It is a privilege to work in the Central Valley and serve the families and students of Stratford Elementary.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College of Missouri before pursuing my passion for education. I completed my special education teaching credentials with authorizations in Early Childhood Special Education and Mild, Moderate, and Severe Disabilities. I believe every student has unique strengths and abilities, and my goal is to provide individualized support that builds confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

My wife and I are blessed with four wonderful and energetic children who keep us active and smiling every day. As a family, we enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories together. These experiences have strengthened our appreciation for different cultures, lifelong learning, and the importance of staying curious.

One of the things I value most about the Stratford community is the strong sense of connection between families and generations. The lasting relationships, community pride, and commitment to supporting children make this a wonderful place to live, learn, and grow.

I am honored to be a part of the Stratford Elementary community and look forward to building meaningful relationships with students and families. Together, we can create a positive, supportive, and rewarding learning experience where every child feels valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
