Stratford Elementary

Mrs. Beasley - Reading Specialist

Welcome Letter

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Stratford Reading Intervention Program! I have been teaching for 22 years.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree from University of California Santa Cruz in Psychology and my Master’s Degree at Fresno State University in Reading Language Arts with a Reading Specialist Credential.

I know that it is going to be a exciting year working on our foundational reading skills and strategies as these will help our students become more successful in all subjects. We have a lot of work ahead of us, however, with your support and patience, this will be an outstanding year for all of us.

All students in all grades benefit from reading daily from 10-45 minutes a day depending on their age and grade level.  Minutes spent reading at home daily promotes mastery and confidence in our students.  Daily reading practice provides students with opportunities to continue to master those skills while allowing families to experience what the students are learning.

If you have any questions, concerns, or anything you think I should know, please feel free to email me at [email protected]  We are looking forward to a rewarding year!!
